1. Our Service

Kitchens Matter is a cooking platform that provides AI-guided, persona-voiced recipes using a proprietary 5-gate cooking methodology. You choose a chef persona and either tell us what ingredients you have, name a dish you would like to cook, or describe what you are after. Your chosen chef then guides you through the recipe in five clear stages.

Our services currently include:

• Recipe generation — persona-voiced, 5-gate structured recipes tailored to your ingredients, dietary needs, and appliances
• Chef photo review — upload a photo of your finished dish and receive a written review in your chosen chef's voice
• Saved recipes — a personal recipe book of everything you have cooked on the platform

2. Recipe Guidance and Limitations

Our recipes and chef guidance are provided for informational and inspirational purposes only. All outputs are generated using AI models and our proprietary 5-gate methodology, and:

• Do not constitute professional dietary, nutritional, or medical advice
• Are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific dietary requirement or health condition
• Should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice from a doctor, dietitian, or other qualified healthcare professional

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kitchens Matter accepts no liability for any loss, harm, illness, or expense arising from reliance on our recipe outputs.

3. User Accounts

Sign-in is via a one-time passcode sent to your email address. No password is required. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate contact and dietary information
• Keeping access to your email account secure, since this is how you access your Kitchens Matter account
• All activity that occurs under your account

4. Current Pricing

Kitchens Matter is currently free to use in full. We do not currently charge for any feature. Should we introduce paid tiers in future, existing users will be notified in advance and these Terms will be updated to reflect any subscription or payment terms at that time.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Ownership

All content produced by the Kitchens Matter platform, including recipes, chef persona voices, the 5-gate methodology, gate interpretations, mise en place guidance, and chef photo reviews, is the intellectual property of Kitchens Matter, a trading name of Wheels Matter Limited.

Our recipe methodology, persona architecture, prompt design, and the underlying mechanics that generate recipes are protected under UK copyright law and constitute valuable trade secrets of Wheels Matter Limited.

5.2 Licence to Users

Upon generation of a recipe, you are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use that recipe for your own private, non-commercial purposes, including cooking it, sharing it informally with friends and family, and saving it to your recipe book. This licence does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to you.

5.3 Prohibited Uses

Without our prior written consent, you may not:

• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any Kitchens Matter recipe, chef review, or methodology at scale
• Use our recipes, chef persona outputs, or methodology as training data for any machine learning or automated system
• Scrape, automatically extract, or systematically access our platform or recipe content
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our recipe structures, persona prompt logic, or 5-gate methodology
• Create derivative cooking platforms or services based on our methodology or persona architecture
• Wrap, iframe, or expose our services via a third-party API without express written consent

6. Photos You Submit

Where you submit a photo of a dish you have cooked for chef review, you retain ownership of your photo. By submitting it, you grant Kitchens Matter a licence to store the photo, process it via our AI provider to generate a chef review, and display it back to you in your recipe book.

If you explicitly opt in to gallery consent at the point of upload, you additionally grant us a licence to display your photo publicly on the platform, for example in a future community gallery, alongside your chosen chef's review. This consent is never assumed and is unticked by default. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us, and we will remove the photo from any public display.

You confirm that any photo you upload is your own, does not infringe any third party's rights, and does not contain identifiable images of other people who have not consented to appear in it, particularly children.

7. Data and the Moat

Kitchens Matter builds a proprietary data asset by combining recipe generation patterns, cooking outcomes, and anonymised usage data across all users. This aggregated, anonymised dataset is the exclusive property of Wheels Matter Limited.

Where you generate recipes, save outcomes, or submit photos through our platform, you grant Kitchens Matter a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use that data in anonymised and aggregated form only, to improve our recipe methodology, persona voices, and develop new features. We will not use your personally identifiable data outside the terms of our Privacy Policy.

8. Acceptable Use

Kitchens Matter is for personal, non-commercial cooking use unless you have a specific commercial arrangement with us. You must not use the Service to:

• Upload illegal, unlawful, or harmful content, including images that do not depict cooking or food
• Upload photos of any other identifiable individual without their consent, particularly children
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or misuse our recipe generation systems
• Interfere with or overload our infrastructure
• Systematically collect, aggregate, or resell recipe content or chef outputs for commercial purposes without our prior written consent
• Use the platform to generate content that promotes or facilitates self-harm, including disordered eating

We monitor for suspicious activity and reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts, and cooperate fully with law enforcement where required.

9. Disclaimers

Kitchens Matter recipes and chef guidance are provided for informational and inspirational purposes only. They do not constitute professional dietary, nutritional, medical, or food safety advice. Always use your own judgement regarding food safety, allergens, and suitability for you and anyone you are cooking for.

10. Limitation of Liability

Kitchens Matter is currently provided free of charge. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed £500 (five hundred pounds) in any event. We are not liable for:

• Indirect or consequential losses
• Any illness, harm, or allergic reaction arising from a recipe generated by the platform
• Decisions made on the basis of our recipes or chef guidance
• Loss of data, including recipes or photos, though we take reasonable steps to prevent this

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform develops. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users via email or by posting a notice on our website. This is an early-stage platform and these Terms are likely to be revised as new features, including payments, voice interaction, and community features, are introduced. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
